Product Sales

Triton Window Distributors was founded on the concept of “educating” its customers. There is no question that Windows and Doors have many benefits for everyone, but not everyone has a true understanding of the products.

Our “Sales Force” consists of a group of people who have been extensively trained on all of our products. Their goal is to help you understand our products easily and pinpoint how they are going to benefit you.

Windows and Doors are a necessity. A home, condominium or business is not complete without them. In this day and age however, a window or door is not JUST a window or door. There are many added benefits to purchasing the right window or door.

Benefits:
Hurricane Protection
Noise Reduction
Theft Protection / Security
Energy Savings
Sun Protection

Residential Sales make up the base of our company. Helping people improve the look of their home and increase protection and security is our expertise.

Commercial Sales have also seen a steady increase over the last few years. We make working with contractors easy, quick and hassle free. We meet them at the jobsites, produce a quote and sign. Once we set a delivery date, it is a date that can be relied on as we always deliver as promised, making sure that there are no set backs on any projects.

Engineering

All projects done by Triton Window Distributors are done with a permit. Windows and doors within hurricane areas must pass certain requirements (ex. Impact resistance tests and wind pressure tests). Certain cities in South Florida require plans and site specific drawings that are signed and sealed (engineering) as per their building codes along with a products Notice of Acceptance (NOA). These documents are a testament of the approval of a product under county regulations. They also contain Design Pressure (DP) charts.

Homes in any of the wind-borne debris regions must have windows and doors with specific design pressure ratings. This consists of a positive number and a negative number. The positive number is the pressure created by wind blowing at a window or door, while the negative number is the vacuum pressure on the opposite side (inside of the home) of the product.

If a specific city requires engineering, then Triton contacts its engineer and sends them out to the homeowner’s property. Within a few days the engineer provides us with the specific design pressures for each of your homes openings. Once we have these, we make sure that all products for your home meet the required pressures. If so, your project then continues as planned. If not, then the glass needs to be upgraded to heat strength glass so that the product meets the pressures and an additional fee may apply.

Although this process may seem confusing and complicated, Triton Windows does all it can to make sure that it is as simple and seamless for our customers as possible.

Permit Processing

All projects contracted by Triton Window Distributors must be done with a permit. Oftentimes, pulling a building permit in different municipalities can prove frustrating and confusing. To facilitate your project, we offer this service to each of our clients. Depending on the municipality, the costs and processes can be different.

Certain municipalities require a simple house drawing while others require site specific wind-load calculations and drawings that are signed and sealed by an engineer. All cities require Product Approvals and some additional items (such as a permit application, condo letter, notice of commencement, etc). Should the homeowner choose to have Triton go through the permitting process for you, then we will coordinate all appointments with our engineer and submit all items for approval in the respective cities. On the day of installation, the permit and all necessary documents will be at the jobsite and following your installation, we will coordinate the inspection and have someone on the jobsite that day to make sure that your project is finalized.

Installations

Here at Triton Window Distributors it is our goal to make the installation portion of your project as quick, easy and unobtrusive as possible. While there are some unforseen circumstances that can arise that no one can predict until the existing units are removed, there are many things that we do and that the homeowner can do to facilitate the process.

In our Scope of Work, signed at the time of contract signing, there is a list of those items included in the install and those that are not. Examples of things that are included in the installation are the following: Removal of old units, interior sealants, exterior sealants, interior plaster (if necessary), exterior stucco (if necessary), the cleaning of the product and the disposal of the old units.

Triton Window Distributors always recommends that the homeowner remove any blinds or draperies around the units as well as any furniture near the units. Installations cause a significant amount of dust. Triton always lays a drop cloth around the immediate area. Other items that are NOT included in Triton’s Scope of Work, include, but are not limited to: replacement of window sills, replacement of molding, removal of security bars or shutters, paint, rewire alarms, etc.

Should any unforseen circumstances arise, Triton Window Distributors never leaves their clients “high and dry.” We always work with the homeowner to help resolve any issues or put you in contact with someone who can.

Always remember that Window and Door replacement is a Construction job and as such will cause dust.

Export

Triton Window Distributors has seen a steady increase in its export department and has sold to many different islands including Anguilla, Bahamas and St. Vincent, among others. Once the quoting process has been completed and a sale has been made, Triton submits the order, awaits a confirmation and informs the customer of the date the product will be delivered to the shipping company of the customer’s choice. We coordinate all deliveries to shipping companies for our export customers. Should there be any further need for assistance once the product has been delivered, Triton Windows services these customers just as it would any of its local customers.
